Our history - the Bennelong story

Bennelong Funds Management is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Bennelong Group, a privately owned funds management and private equity business.

Founded by businessman Jeff Chapman in 2000, the Group has grown to encompass a number of thriving subsidiaries under the Bennelong umbrella.

With a solid track record across the Group, strong capital base, disciplined management and extensive industry experience, Bennelong has established a successful presence in both the funds management and private equity markets including:

• Crown Golf: owner and operator of more than 30 golf courses in the UK;
• Sportsbrand Media Group: which produces and distributes international sports content and programming for television and digital media broadcast internationally; and
• Crown Content: publisher of the prestigious Business Who's Who and Margaret Gee's Media Guide.

Bennelong's core values - honesty, competitiveness, teamwork, prudence, balance, respect, accountability and hard work - underpin all initiatives undertaken by the Group, and the funds management subsidiary is no exception.
