Overview

Bennelong Funds Management's global equities capability is managed by Security Global Investors (SGI). Established in 1962, SGI is a diversified financial services firm based in the US, providing a broad array of financial products and services to institutional investors and financial intermediaries.

Ratings

Currently, the team manages the Bennelong SGI Global Equities Fund, which was recently assigned a three star 'new' rating by Standard & Poor's and a recommended by Zenith Investment Partners. To request a copy of the reports, please contact Client Services.

   


The Bennelong SGI Global Long Short Equities Fund will be launched in 2010.

History

To support Bennelong Funds Management's growth strategy of attracting new, best of breed asset management teams, the group regularly engages with investment professionals around the world. Whilst philosophical alignment with Bennelong's core values is key, the cultural fit, calibre of talent, boutique structure and rich professional history of the SGI team lead to the creation of the partnership (distribution agreement) between Bennelong Funds Management and SGI. Bennelong SGI global equities was launched in March 2009 and SGI's flagship global equities fund is exclusively available in Australia under the Bennelong brand.

Whilst the Bennelong SGI Global Equities Fund is new to the Australian market, the current team has been successfully managing the global strategy for over seven years.
