Overview
Bennelong Australian Equity Partners (BAEP) is a boutique investment manager established in July 2008 as a joint venture between Paul Cuddy, Mark East and Bennelong Funds Management (BFM).
Prior to establishing BAEP, Paul and Mark worked together at an institutional funds management organisation where they had joint responsibility for a $10 billion plus Australian equities business. They were responsible for developing and maintaining an investment process that delivered investment returns ranking amongst the top performing managers on leading Australian shares fund surveys.
BAEP exclusively directs Bennelong Funds Management's Australian equities (large cap) capability. They currently manage three Australian equities funds which, although not limited to, primarily select stocks from the S&P/ASX 300 Index:
- the Bennelong Australian Equities Fund, which typically holds approximately 35 stocks;
- the Bennelong Concentrated Australian Equities Fund, which typically holds approximately 25 stocks; and
- the new Bennelong ex-20 Australian Equities Fund, which typically holds approximately 30 stocks, excluding those from the S&P/ASX 20 Leaders Index.
